    Assessor

    Sue Flageolle

I'm Sue Flageolle, and I'm seeking the Democratic nomination for Jefferson County Assessor. I've seen how confusing and stressful property assessments can be for property owners. With 29 years working in real estate appraisal and public service for Jefferson County, I've worked hard to create fair and clear assessment models. I understand what property owners go through because I've helped people navigate these challenges. I believe that everyone should pay their fair share – from the senior citizen to the big corporation.

I bring a deep technical knowledge to mass appraisal systems and understand the many nuances of Colorado Statutes for property valuation. I’ve led system-overhauls that improved efficiency, compliance and taxpayer confidence as well as trained appraisal staff to understand and collect the details necessary to provide fair and accurate valuations.

As Assessor, I'll focus on updating our systems, making sure our data is accurate, and providing honest, dependable valuations. My background has prepared me to get to work right away and make you feel confident in how your property is valued. You deserve an Assessor who knows the job and cares about getting it right—and I’m ready to do just that.

When an unexpected, untimely death occurs, it represents more than personal tragedy, it creates a deep loss felt by beloved family, friends, and our community as a whole. The Coroner's Office serves a crucial role by impartially seeking the unbiased truth on behalf of the deceased, providing answers to legal-next-of-kin, and addressing broader legal and public health interests.

With years of dedicated experience, top-tier qualifications, and a deep passion for the field, I recognize the importance of community-based collaboration and the value of strong, positive relationships in fulfilling this mission. Guided by this understanding, I bring a clear vision for the Coroner’s Office—one rooted in proven leadership, professionalism, compassion, and integrity.

Progressive values brought our American banking system out of the ashes of the Great Depression. Those same values can be implemented today to ensure all may obtain a more abundant life. In my career as a banker I have seen how access to capital can change lives and create a better world where everyone gets a shot at the American Dream.

The office of County Treasurer can help our economy work for working families by investing as much of our funds locally as possible.  We can obtain a solid return for taxpayers on the investment of their funds without compromising our values. During this election cycle, I look forward to sharing my vision for the office with you and to the opportunity to earn your support.
