With the Trump Administration cutting $1 billion from hunger programs, food banks across the country and here in Colorado are losing millions in funding. JeffCo Eats, an amazing organization that serves 600+ families and children per week right here at home, has had to reduce their average weekly food provided per family by a staggering 40% (10 lbs -> 6 lbs).
Donations are needed to fill these bags of food and provide for hungry children in Jefferson County. It's time for us to step up and feed our neighbors!
On Saturday, July 5th from 5 PM - 7 PM, the JeffCo Young Dems are hosting an in-person food drive supporting JeffCo Eats at the Arvada Community Room. You bring ready-to-eat meals and snacks to donate, and we'll feed you pizza in return.
There will also be opportunities to donate to JeffCo Eats and sign up to volunteer!
