I’m running for reelection to the State Board of Education because I believe education is our most human endeavor.

Public dollars should stay in our public schools, ensuring equal access to high quality, inclusive education leading to a satisfying and productive career after graduation, whether higher education or career and technical training.  Every student should be able to see themselves succeeding in our public schools.

I will continue to be a voice for students, families, and educators, ensuring quality achievement standards, while making decisions that support teaching and learning in the classroom.

As a state legislator from Boulder, Edie Hooton fought for higher education funding and affordable tuition.  That’s why CU awarded her “Legislator of the Year.”

She took on tough foes like corporate landlords and health insurers to protect tenants and consumers.  As a Regent, Edie will fight to protect higher education funding and academic freedom from the Trump administration.  As a mom and aunt to CU graduates Edie understands the pressure Colorado families face with ever-increasing tuition costs.

Edie’s public service history includes volunteering for Boulder Safehouse, Planned Parenthood, and the Democratic Women of Boulder County.

Dear Friends, I'm thrilled to share some exciting news: I'm running to continue serving as your University of Colorado Regent for the 6th Congressional District - not to play politics, but to protect what matters most.

Over the last four years, I’ve worked hard to cap tuition increases, expand mental health support, protect research and innovation, and stand strong against extremist efforts to politicize our public universities.

With the support of leaders like Congressman Jason Crow, Colorado State Board of Education At Large Member Kathy Plomer, alongside many other public and education leaders, I'm ready to keep building a university system that truly serves every Coloradan.

Hi, I’m Nolbert Chavez, your CU Regent. I’m running for re-election in 2026 to continue my advocacy for lower tuition, better representation from all communities in Colorado, so that CU reflects Colorado.

Building on the amazing advocacy of former Regent Irene Griego, who championed in state tuition for Native American students, I was responsible for extending the scholarship for displaced Aurarians on the CU Denver campus. Today those scholarship recipients receive $1 million dollars in free tuition, and they will in perpetuity because of my work on the Board of Regents.

I respectfully ask for your vote for CU Board of Regents.
