| Hello and welcome to the Blue Beacon!
School is back in session and the election will be here before we know it. That's right - there's an election this year and Democrats across the county need your support. Please see our candidates at JeffCoDems.Org. These candidates are running for City Council and Mayor seats. Local government impacts our lives more directly than you realize. Please spread the word that people need to vote this year and send them to our website for more information. As new candidates are announced, they will be added.
The Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner will be September 28. We are pleased to announce that U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin will be our headline speaker. We will also be honoring former County Commissioner and former State Representative Tracy Kraft-Tharp with the Eleanor award.
We continue to encourage all those who are interested in their community and having good, compassionate government to attend City Council, County Commissioner, and School Board meetings. This is your opportunity to make your voice heard. These meetings are on the JeffCo Dems Calendar and listed below. Too often, it is only hateful voices at these meetings. The good Democrats who serve in these elected offices need to know they have your support for progressive policies.
