| Hello and welcome to the Blue Beacon!
Happy New Year! Looking back at 2025, I could not be more proud of the JeffCo Dems. Our hard work led to victories in School Board and Municipal elections. We grew our volunteers and met our fundraising goals. We are going into 2026 feeling very positive about our candidates. Getting candidates onto the ballot is a hefty process and it all starts at Caucus. Caucus will be March 7, 2026, and County Assembly will be March 14, 2026. Both will be virtual. Plan on spending a few hours at each. If you are a Precinct Organizer, your term ends on March 7, and we hope you will run again to continue in the role. Caucus and Assembly can be pretty confusing. We will have training throughout January and February so you will be prepared and set up for success.
After the Primary Election in June, we will begin assembling and printing literature to drop at 50,000 doors. We hope you will be part of this effort. The party will also be providing financial and strategy support to 2026 candidates. If you're curious about the laws that are going to be proposed in 2026, please join us on Second Saturday for a Legislative Preview (see below). I hope you had wonderful holidays and that you enjoy ringing in the new year. In Solidarity, Kathryn Wallace, Chair Jefferson County Democratic Party |
