My name is Peter Gibbins and I’m the proud parent of a Jefferson County Public Schools student and currently work as an attorney. Throughout my career—including my time as a labor organizer—I’ve learned that collaboration with workers is essential to running effective, well-functioning organizations. That’s why I’ve stepped up to run for Jeffco School Board in the District 2 seat and am thrilled to have the endorsement of my union brothers and sisters of the Jefferson County Educators Association, our teachers.

As Director of District 2, I hope to use my experience to help rebuild trusting relationships between educators and the administrative leadership of Jefferson County Public Schools.

I’m excited to bring my background in law and policy to the School Board to address teacher shortages and attract and retain high quality educators to our schools.

I’m Tina Moeinian and I’m running for Jeffco School Board Director of District 5 because I want to ensure that Jeffco Public Schools provide a fair and safe learning environment for all students. I’ve worked as an Equal Employment Opportunity specialist and a mediator, focusing on supporting both workplace and community conflict resolution and problem-solving.

I know firsthand that access to high-quality, equitable public education can make all the difference in a child’s life. I’m committed to fighting for full funding for our schools and making sure that vital services and programs are available to every student.

I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Jefferson County Educators Association (JCEA) and look forward to working side by side with you for our schools. I’m committed to getting back to the basics of what makes Jeffco Schools great, by focusing on having quality teachers in every classroom, improving student achievement, and making sure we are focused on what’s best for all kids.

I currently serve as President of the Jeffco School Board. I am running for re-election because Jeffco is facing some very serious challenges, including the need to make $50-60 million in budget cuts.

With 3 open seats, there is the possibility that the Board majority could be made up of new Directors who will face a steep learning curve before they know enough to make good, informed decisions.

I have visited dozens of schools, attended hundreds of district events, and interacted with thousands of parents, staff, students, and community members.  I am prepared and eager to continue the work.
